Initialized by the German Historical Institute Paris this blog presents the activities of the Max Weber Foundation’s Institutes around the First World War. On the occasion of the Centenary and with a wide range of events, projects and publications they provide a transnational perspective on the subject. By creating a forum for their own research and those of their host countries and other partners, the blog aims to exchange historical perception beyond borders as well as to raise new questions and concepts. Not only the prehistory and the outbreak of the war are to be discussed, a new approach to the history of the conflict’s end and the beginning of the interwar period is urgently needed.
